Reading have parted company with manager Brain McDermott after three years in charge. Time up Unfairly? A club statement on the website: Reading Football Club has announced today the departure of Manager Brian McDermott. Owner Anton Zingarevich wishes to place on record his thanks to Brian who had achieved great success with the club since taking over as Manager in December 2009.   Brian gained promotion to the Barclays Premier League last year for only the second time in the club’s history thanks to a remarkable run at the end of last season.  However, in our current situation, owner Anton Zingarevich felt that a change was necessary. Liverpool 5-0 Swansea

Gerrard celebrating the first goal Liverpool 5-0 Swansea Anfield 44,832 Liverpool have moved above Swansea into 7th after a 5-0 win over a weak  Swansea side. Swansea's last game before the Capital One Cup final next Sunday ended in a 5-0 Whitewash. Swansea manager Michael Laudrup says he is partly to blame for the defeat after making seven changes to the side that beat QPR 4-1 last weekend.  The game was dominated by Liverpool from the first minute, they had penalty claims turned down before one was won by Luis Suarez after he was fouled in the box, Steven Gerrard stood up to take it and scored it to make it 1-0 to Liverpool.  Liverpool had more chances before half time but Vorm kept the score 1-0 at half time.
