Kenny Jackett has left his post as Rotherham manager. Jackett was in charge for just 5 games Jackett offered his resignation on Saturday after the defeat against Leeds United which left the club bottom of the table and with one win in eighteen matches this season that came against Brentford. Jackett replaced former Hibs manager Alan Stubbs who was sacked earlier in the campaign. A statement on the clubs website read: ‘Following the game against Leeds United at the weekend, Kenny Jackett tendered his resignation and accordingly, his employment with the Club has been terminated with immediate effect. Kenny’s resignation came as a shock and is disappointing. The club will now focus on making appropriate arrangements for the first team. ‘ It is believed the main reason for his departure was that he would not be given the backing needed needed to re-build the squad in the January transfer window.
