FLITCROFT AXED BY BARNSLEY

Barnsley have sacked manager David Flitcroft following a 0-3 home defeat to fellow strugglers Birmingham at Oakwell. End of the Line for Flitcroft  A statement read: Barnsley Football Club can confirm First Team Manager David Flitcroft has been relieved of his position at the Football Club. Technical Coach Martin Scott and Strength and Conditioning Coach Guy Proctor have also parted company with the Club. Assistant Manager Micky Mellon has been placed in caretaker charge of first team affairs, assisted by Development Coach Paul Heckingbottom in the meantime. There will be no further statements from the Club until Wednesday 4 th  December 2013. The Club would like to place on record their appreciation and thanks for what David, Martin and Guy have achieved. BARKER SACKED BY CRAWLEY

Richie Barker has been sacked by Crawley after 7 league games without a win a statement read: Sacked Barker Crawley Town Football Club can confirm that it has terminated the contract of First Team manager Richie Barker with immediate effect. The club will make an announcement as soon as possible on who will look after team affairs in the interim period and we ask our supporters to have patience while the process of finding a new manager is undertaken. The club will not be making any further comment at this stage Barker is now favourite to take over at Pompey after they sacked Guy Whittingham.

MANCHESTER CITY NAME PELLEGRINI

MANCHESTER CITY have confirmed that Manual Pellegrini will take over as manager from June 24th. Pellegrini replaces Roberto Mancini who was sacked after the club lost 0-1 to Wigan in the FA Cup final. Prior to Mancini's sacking at City, Pellegrini announced that he would leave Malaga at the end of the season. Pellegrini's goal will be to reclaim the Premier League title from local rivals Manchester United next season. This was the statement on City's website: Manchester City Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Manuel Pellegrini as first team manager. Pellegrini, who joins the Club on a three year contract, will take up the role from 24th June. Reacting to his appointment Pellegrini said: “I am delighted to accept this hugely exciting opportunity. OWEN Coyle has been named the new manager of Wigan this afternoon on a 12 month rolling contract. Coyle replaces Roberto Martinez who joined Everton last week.  Wigan Chairman Dave Whelan had this is to say after the news broke earlier this afternoon (14th June) "I have agreed a deal in principal with Owen and his agent is now with our Chief Executive to finalise the deal, but as far as i am concerned we have sorted it and i hope the rest will be sorted out in the next hour. Coyle managed Bolton between 2010 and 2012 before being sacked 5 months after being relegated from the Premier League. He now takes over the 2013 FA Cup winners.

KENNY JACKETT LEAVES MILLWALL

Millwall confirmed that manager Kenny Jackett has left the club. Kenny had been in charge for five and a half years. Millwall had three trips Wembley under Jackett who also lead Millwall to a return to the Championship via the play-offs. WOLVES SACK DEAN SAUNDERS

Wolves have sacked manager Dean Saunders following their relegation to League One on Saturday it is back to back relegation's for the midlands club. They are now looking for their 5th manager since sacking Mick McCarthy in February 2011. Sacked Dean Saunders  A statement on the Clubs website read: Manager Dean Saunders has been informed by Wolves that his contract is to be terminated. The decision has been made following confirmation of Wolves’ relegation to npower League One. Assistant Manager Brian Carey will also be leaving the Club. Wolves have now begun a recruitment process, which, in conjunction with the Board, will be managed by Head of Football Development & Recruitment Kevin Thelwell.
