Southampton have sacked manager Nigel Adkins after two and a half years in charge. Time Up! Southampton have sacked Nigel Adkins after two and a half years in charge in which he won back to back promotions from  League One to the Premier League.  Executive Chairman, Nicola Cortese said: “This decision has been made with the long-term ambitions of Southampton Football Club in mind. Whilst we acknowledge the contribution Nigel has made during the past two years, for the Club to progress and achieve our long-term targets a change was needed

Blackpool are looking for their 3rd manager of the season after Michael Appleton decided life at Blackburn was better, here is a list of who i think would make a good replacement: Steve Thompson: The current caretaker boss of the club has been there for a while and has had been in caretaker charge twice this season after the exit of Ian Holloway and Michael Appleton. He knows the club well and would make a good boss. Paul Ince: Needs to be given a chance at championship level, I think personally that he would make a good manager in a bid to get Blackpool to the top level of English football next season. Kenny Jackett: Has done a great job with Millwall leading them to promotion from league one in 2010. The longest serving manager in the Championship I think would make a good replacement in trying to get Blackpool to the Premier League.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that RVP is winning the league for Man Utd. Van Persie scoring the winner at the Etihad  Van Persie is the top goalscorer in league with 16 goals already this season. United sit 7 points clear at the top going into their game with Liverpool this afternoon, that gap could extend to 10 points when Van Persie meets Suarez. If United are to win and City drop points later on at Arsenal the title could be good as done. RVP scored 30 goals for Arsenal last season Wenger says that he has been the diffrence in the title race this season.  Wenger was speaking ahead to his sides game against Manchester City. Manchester United take on Liverpool in the first of Sunday's games. United sit 7 points clear at the top and can go 10 points clear for few hours at least. Wayne Rooney is out of the game but should return to training on Monday. United won the meeting earlier in the season RVP's late penalty was enough to secure a 2-1 win at Anfield. We thought that the title was sorted after this fixture last season but how wrong were we.......I am sure that this one will throw us a great game as it did when the two sides met earlier on in the season 1-1 at the Etihad.  Stay on top of all the action on Sky Sports Super Sunday from 1pm.

Bristol City have sacked Derek Mcinnes a 4-0 home defeat by Leicester City. City have slumped to the bottom of the table after Barnsley's 2-0 win over Leeds United and their 4-0 home defeat to Leicester.  Time up for DM at BC City issued the following statement on their official website ' Jon Lansdown, Football MD, said: “This is a decision we felt we had to make for the good of the football club.  “Derek has been a pleasure to work with; he’s disappointed but he understands the decision. “We want to give ourselves the best possible chance of getting out of the situation we are currently in and we’ve got 20 games to do that.” The search for a replacement is underway Derek becomes the 7th manager to lose his job since Christmas.
