Sunderland have named former Brighton manager Gus Poyet as the clubs new manager.
Poyet was very successful as a player in the Premier League with Chelsea, he was also praised for the job he done as Assistant manager at Tottenham back in 2008. His only job as a manager was with Brighton where he led them to the League One title in his first season. His second season he led them to a 10th place finish in the Championship before last season leading them to 4th before being sacked in June this year.
