Alex's Predictions

Here we go again with another round of Predictions, The Premier League has a midweek round this week so here we go.

Arsenal v Watford - Tuesday 7.45 PM

  • Arsenal have won their last 7 league games against Watford, scoring 19 goals in the process.
  • Only Newcastle (9) are on a worst losing run against Arsenal than any other side along with Leeds (7)
  • Alexis Sanchez has scored in all three of his previous games against Watford and has two assists against the Hornets as well.
  • Arsenal have scored the most goals from the 80th minute onwards (12)
Head to Head

  • Matches Played: 7
  • Arsenal Wins: 7 (3 Home, 4 Away)
  • Watford Wins: 0
  • Draws: 0
Last 5 Meetings
  • Watford 1-3 Arsenal - 27th August 2016
  • Arsenal 4-0 Watford - 2nd April 2016
  • Watford 0-3 Arsenal - 17th October 2015
  • Watford 1-2 Arsenal - 26th December 2006
  • Arsenal 4-0 Watford - 14th October 2006
Watford are on a dismal run away from home they have won just 1 of their last 11 away and that was against Burton in the 3rd Round of the F.A Cup, the manager has come in for criticism for the team selection in the defeat to Millwall they are in a bit of a mess at the moment. Arsenal are performing well they were outstanding against Southampton and i think they will repeat that performance against Watford tomorrow night.

My Prediction: 4-0

Bournemouth v Crystal Palace - Tuesday 7.45 PM

  • Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last 5 matches with Crystal Palace
  • Scott Dann has scored both of Palace's goals against Bournemouth in the top flight.
  • Bournemouth have lost a whopping 15 points from leading positions this season. Incredible.
Head to Head
  • Matches Played: 3
  • Bournemouth Wins: 1 (0 Home, 1 Away)
  • Palace Wins: 0
  • Draws: 2
Last 3 meetings
  • Crystal Palace 1-1 Bournemouth - 27th August 2016
  • Crystal Palace 1-2 Bournemouth - 2nd February 2016
  • Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace - 26th December 2015
This is a massive game for both teams, both are struggling at present Palace a bit more than Bournemouth. I don't see a winner in this game, with both sides finding it hard to keep the ball out of the net i think it could be a high scoring draw.

My Prediction: 2-2

Burnley v Leicester - Tuesday 7.45

  • Leicester are unbeaten in their last 10 matches against Burnley winning 7.
  • Burnley are the only team to not have gained a single point from a losing position this season losing all 12 games they have fallen behind in.
  • Tom Heaton has made a PL high 93 saves this season 12 more than any other keeper.
  • Andre Gray has scored 5 goals in his last 5 games.
Head to Head
  • Matches Played: 3
  • Burnley Wins: 0
  • Leicester Wins: 2 (1 Home, 1 Away)
  • Draws: 0
Burnley are so good at home and Leicester have not won away, so this has home win written all over it or you would think. Burnley have taken all of 1 of their points at home this season and have been very fast starters at home. Leicester 's superstars from last year just haven't showed up this season, however, i feel at some point they will come out not this time though

My Prediction: 2-0

Middlesbrough v West Brom - Tuesday 7.45 PM

  • Middlesbrough have not scored in their last 5 meetings with West From losing 4 and drawing 1.
  • West From are unbeaten in their last 4 visits to the Riverside (W2,D2)
  • If West Brom do not concede then they will have kept back to back Premier League clean sheets for the first time since October 2015.
Head to Head
  • Matches Played: 9
  • Middlesbrough Wins: 4 (2 Home, 2 Away)
  • West Brom Wins: 3 (2 Home, 1 Away)
Last 5 Meetings

West Brom 0-0 Middlesbrough - 28th August 2016
West Brom 3-0 Middlesbrough - 17th January 2009
Middlesbrough 0-1 West Brom - 27th September 2008
West Brom 0-2 Middlesbrough - 26th February 2006
Middlesbrough 2-2 West Brom - 27th November 2005

Sunderland v Tottenham - Tuesday 7.45 PM
  • Sunderland are winless in their last 13 Premier League games against Sunderland (L10, D3)
  • Jermain Defoe scored 91 goals in 276 games for Spurs but has only scored 1 goal in 9 against them.
  • Harry Kane has scored at 19 different Premier League grounds but never at that the Stadium of Light.
Head to Head
  • Matches Played: 31
  • Sunderland Wins: 5 (4 Home, 1 Away)
  • Tottenham Wins: 21 (14 Home, 7 Away)
  • Draws: 5
Last 5 Meetings
  • Tottenham 1-0 Sunderland - 18th September 2016
  • Tottenham 4-1 Sunderland - 16th January 2016
  • Sunderland 0-1 Tottenham - 13th September 2015
  • Tottenham 2-1 Sunderland - 17th January 2015
  • Sunderland 2-2 Tottenham - 13th September 2014
Sunderland are woeful, they are in an  awful run on form and they come up against a Spurs side who have a great record against them and have lost only twice in the league this season. Looking at Sunderland they are a team who need significant investment otherwise they are going to be relegated. They will lose this match and by a significant amount.

My Prediction: 0-3

Swansea v Southampton - Tuesday 7.45PM
  • Southampton have won their last three visits to the Liberty Stadium 1-0.
  • The Saints have conceded just 3 goals in 9 games against the Swans.
  • Southampton have had 99 different scorers for them in the Premier League they are looking to become the 12th team to have 100 scorers.
Head to Head
  • Matches Played: 9
  • Swansea Wins: 1 (0 Home, 1 Away)
  • Southampton Wins: 6 (3 Home, 3 Away)
  • Draws: 2
Last 5 Results
  • Southampton 1-0 Swansea - 18th September 2016
  • Swansea 0-1 Southampton - 13th February 2016
  • Southampton 3-1 Swansea - 26th September 2015
  • Southampton 0-1 Swansea - 1st February 2015
  • Swansea 0-1 Southampton - 20th September 2014
Swansea will be on a high after that win at Liverpool but they would not have wanted that break at the weekend. They had momentum which is so important when you are trying to battle relegation. Southampton need a pick up after the dismal performance against Arsenal however, `I don't think that will arrive here I am going for a draw.

My Prediction: 0-0

Liverpool v Chelsea - Tuesday 8PM
  • Liverpool will be looking to do the double over Chelsea for the first time since the 2011/12 season.
  • Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 4 visits to Anfield (W2, D2)
  • Chelsea are 7 points clear at the top.
  • A win takes Chelsea 13 points clear of Liverpool
Head to Head
  • Matches Played: 49
  • Liverpool Wins: 19 (13 Home, 6 Away)
  • Chelsea Wins: 19 (13 Home, 6 Away)
  • Draws: 11
So this is the biggest game of the round, Liverpool are due a response, 3 Anfield defeats in a row does not happen very often and when it does there is often a response afterwards. Chelsea are on a good run and know that a win here all but ends Liverpool's hopes of any trophy this season. A big game all round but i fancy Liverpool to edge it.

My Prediction 1-0

After a a busy Transfer Deadline day, there was seven matches in the Premier League as well last night, clubs were doing deals during these games to make sure they have got what it takes to reach their goals for the rest of the season. Here is a round up of last nights action. Arsenal 1-2 Watford  Troy Deeney celebrates scoring Watford's 2nd This surely was the week that Arsenal had to crank up the pressure on their London rivals by beating Watford and then winning at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, safe to say its got off to a bad start. The Gunners were 2-0 down inside 13 minutes at the Emirates Stadium in truth had it not been for Petr Cech the game could well have been over before Half-Time. Cech made come wonderful saves to deny Watford a 3 goal lead at the break. Arsenal recovered in the second half and Alex Iwobi  reduced the deficit to 1 after 58 minutes but they couldn't find an equaliser, Arsenal drop to 3rd while Watford mov...
