MILLWALL 3-3 BRADFORD

MILLWALL and Bradford will have to do it all again in a replay after a thrilling 3-3 draw at The Den. The Lions fell behind to Billy Knot's opener on just 6 minutes before Scott McDonald headed Millwall level before half time. Riccardo Fuller turned home Scott McDonald's excellent cross and the Lions looked in control but a an own goal from Sid Nelson restored parity before Knot tucked away his second to give the visitors the lead again. But Fuller ensured that Millwall would be in the hat for the fourth round draw after a super finish. Ian Holloway had selection issues as his squad was hit by injury and suspension with Mark Beevers (back), Lee Gregory (ankle) and Shaun Williams (banned) were all unavailable. Alan Dunne, Matthew Briggs, Ed Upson, Richard Chaplow and Fuller were all recalled to the team for the match. Phil Parkinson recalled Andrew Sheehan to replace the injured Andrew Davies, while Ben Wiliams came in to replace the ineligible Jordan Pickford. Th...

Champions League Round up

It was an interesting match day 3 in the Champions League for our English teams. There were wins for Arsenal and Chelsea. Man City threw away a 2 goal lead to draw 2-2 in Russia and Liverpool were taught how to play football by the World's best. The first game involving English teams was of course Man City's game in Moscow which was played behind close doors. City were two goals up after 63 minutes before CSKA came back and equalised through a controversial penalty. No problems for Chelsea they sit at the top of their group with 7 points after a 6-0 win over Maribor but they have problems up front now. Remy and Costa expected to miss the weekend game at Old Trafford Chelsea fans I want to hear from you on my Champions League Q&A on twitter. Liverpool were beaten 3-0 by Real Madrid at Afield which leaves them 3rd in the group Ronaldo and Benzema with the European Champions's goals. Arsenal came from 1-0 to win 2-1 Gibbs and Podolski scoring for them but it was n...

World Cup 2014: England 1-2 Italy

ENGLAND suffered defeat in their first World Cup game in Manaus. Alex Grace Reports Goals from Italy's Cladiuo Marchisio and Mario Balotelli either side of a Daniel Sturridge strike were enough to give Italy a 2-1 victory over the Three Lions on Saturday Evening. England were undone by defensive venerability's in a display that would please Roy Hodgson. The rue reality is that now England face a scrap to survive when they play Uruguay on Thursday after they were beaten 3-1 by Costa Rica. Whoever loses that one is doomed to elimination at the first hurdle. Towards the end it was visible that Roy's men were tiring in the heat in the Amazon, but he will hope that not too much energy is lost as England face a another tough encounter in Sao Paulo. To add insult to injury Physio Gary Lewin was taken off via a stretcher after he broke his ankle when celebrating Daniel Sturridge's goal. Raheem Stirling put in a brilliant display as England looked dangerous and we...
