RODGERS SET TO BE LIVERPOOL

Brendan Rodgers to meet Liverpool owners for talks over the vacant managers job at Liverpool. He is now the odds on favourite to replace Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool manager.

Rodgers currently manages Swansea who have had a great first season in the top flight.

Roberto Martinez was the previous favourite for the job after he had talks with the Liverpool owners, but all broke down and noting ended up happing.

MANCHESTER CITY put Wednesday's Champions League disappointment behind them after beating Spurs 1-0 to put the pressure back onto Liverpool in the title race.
