Time up for Dyche |
The New Watford owners have confirmed that they have sacked manager Sean Dyche with a statement issued on the clubs official website.
Sean Dyche who is only 41 and a good manager in the making was only in charge for 12 months he led Watford to a 11th place finish in the Championship last season after a poor start.
The italian owners who already own Serie A side Udinese and Spanish club Granada, completed the takeover of Watford from Laurence Bassin on Friday. The ex West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola is now expected to replace Dyche.
Mr Pozzo told Sources in Italy on Sunday that they had reached a verbal agreement with Zola who has been out of work since being sacked by West Ham 2010.
The statement on the school website said "Watford football club confirms that it has terminated the contract of first team manager Sean Dyche, with Immediate effect.
"His achievements under difficult circumstances mean that he will rightly be held in high regard by the Watford fans. Everyone at the club extends their warmest wishes to Sean for the Future"
