PREMIER LEAGUE ROUND UP

CHELSEA have tightened their grip on the Premier League title after a 1-0 at QPR an 88th minute strike from Cesc Fabregas sealed the victory. QPR remain in the bottom three.

Arsenal remain 2nd and 7 points behind Chelsea after their 1-0 victory at strugglers Burnley Aaron Ramsey's goal in the first half was enough as Burnley were unable to find a response.

Man Utd have consolidated and opened up a 4 point gap on their local rivals Man City after beating them 4-2 at Old Trafford on Sunday. Goals from Young, Fellini, Mata and Smalling responded to Man City taking the lead through Sergio Aguero. He then got his 100th goal for City in the last minute. There were chants of Your getting sacked in the morning ringing around Old Trafford towards then end of the game.

Liverpool have cut the gap to City to just 4 points after they beat Newcastle 2-0 at Anfield on Monday Night. Liverpool's first win in 3 games. Southampton are 6th after a 2-0 victory over relegation threatened Hull who are now just 2 points above the relegation zone with a very tough run in.

Tottenham's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League are hanging by a thread after their shock 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa who now look safe and turn their attention to the their FA Cup Semi- Final tie against Liverpool.

Swansea have their best ever Premier League points total after a draw with an improving Everton who themselves are now unbeaten in their last 4 Premier League games.

West Ham remain in the top half after their 10th draw of the season conceding a 95th minute equaliser against Stoke who are also on track to their best ever points total. Crystal Palace boosted their hopes of a top 10 finish after a 4-1 victory over relegation threatened Sunderland. 

Leicester gave themselves a lifeline after they twice come from behind to beat fellow strugglers West Brom who have now lost back to back home games against relegation rivals.

EVERTON SACK SAM ALLARDYCE

EVERTON have sacked Sam Allardyce, with Marco Silva set to replace him at Goodison Park.  Allardyce leaves Goodison after just 7 months in charge. Everton finished the season in 8th position in the Premier League table with 49 points, 12 fewer than they achieved last season. Allardyce met with the club's majority shareholder Farhead Moshiri this morning (Wednesday) where he was told that his services were no longer required. WELCOME TO 2017/18

Hello! Welcome back to AG's Football Reports after the summer break! I hope you all have had a wonderful holiday and are ready for the most exciting season yet. The Premier League still has a week to go before it returns but this week see's the return of the Sky Bet Football League. It is promising to be one of the greatest ever seasons in England's second tier with no less than 20 of the 24 clubs having played in the Premier League. Just as in previous seasons AG's Football Reports will be here covering all action across the season, starting on Friday night when the whole campaign kicks off with Derby travelling to relegated Sunderland and Championship new boys Millwall making the trip to the East Midlands to face Nottingham Forest. The Premier League kicks off a week later and it once again looks to be one of the most unpredictable leagues ever once again. Tuesday Night Round Up

After a a busy Transfer Deadline day, there was seven matches in the Premier League as well last night, clubs were doing deals during these games to make sure they have got what it takes to reach their goals for the rest of the season. Here is a round up of last nights action. Arsenal 1-2 Watford  Troy Deeney celebrates scoring Watford's 2nd This surely was the week that Arsenal had to crank up the pressure on their London rivals by beating Watford and then winning at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, safe to say its got off to a bad start. The Gunners were 2-0 down inside 13 minutes at the Emirates Stadium in truth had it not been for Petr Cech the game could well have been over before Half-Time. Cech made come wonderful saves to deny Watford a 3 goal lead at the break.
