PREMIER LEAGUE ROUND UP

LECIESTER climbed out of the bottom 3 for the first time since November after winning 1-0 at Burnley  who are now 5 points from safety at the foot of the table. Jamie Vardy bundled home the winner just a minute after Burnley's Matt Taylor struck the post with a penalty.

Hull picked up a vital win to keep them away form the drop zone with a 2-0 success at Crystal Palace Dame N' Doyle scored both goals at Selhurst Park. Palace now lost their last 2 games at home.

Sunderland have dropped into the relegation places for the first time this season after drawing 1-1 with Stoke. They got off to the best possible start when Connor Wickham scored his 6th goal of the season. But they failed to keep the back door shut and Charlie Adam continued his rich rein of goalscoring form.

QPR's hopes of staying up were dealt another blow after they failed to beat West Ham. They also wasted a great opportunity as Charlie Austin failed to convert from the penalty spot they are 4 points from safety.

Newcastle are not out of trouble yet and they lost for the seventh game running against Swansea who now have their best ever points tally in the Premier League. Goals from Perez and Di Jong where not enough as Swansea would get three of their own to condemn Newcastle.

West Brom are now but safe now after a goalless draw at the Hawthornes with Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers's men remain 5th in the table.

In Saturday's early game Southampton and Spurs drew 2-2 a double from Pelle and goals from Chadli and Lamela.

This is what it does for the table:
