FT REPORT: LEICESTER CITY V ASTON VILLA Sundays Later kick off between Leicester City and Aston Villa was a big game for Leicester fans as there was potential for Ranieri's side to go second in the table. Tim Sherwood opted to rest full back Ciaran Clarke in favour of deadline day signing Joleon Lescott. And the defender was right in amongst the action from the word go as Okazaki tried to round him and get a shot away only for it to be blocked. This was a warning to Villa that Leicester would be a tough opponent. However, man of the hour Scott Sinclair, arguably should have scored in the first ten minutes. FT: REPORT SUNDERLAND 0-1 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR Ryan mason fired spurs ahead with a late goal to earn them their first win of the season and adds to Sunderland's early relegation fears. Sunday saw Tottenham Hotspur clash with bottom of the table Sunderland in a fixture which saw new Tottenham signing Heung-min Son getting his debut after being signed by the London outfit for £22 million. Sunderland were hunting for a win which would help them out of their earls season rut which was once again causing some raised eyebrows among the black cat supporters after they saw their side stay up through the skin of their teeth last season. Sunderland started well but Tottenham almost had a penalty after a brash challenge from defender Patrick Van Aanholt on Tottenham wing back Kyle Walker, however referee Craig Pawson waved away the visitors calls for a spot kick. FT: REPORT: Charlton 1-1 Rotherham

FT REPORT: CHARLTON 1-1 ROTHERHAM Brandon Smith reports from The Valley  Saturday's clash at the valley between mid table Charlton and low flying Rotherham ended with the scores at 1 a piece as Patrick Bauer Rescued a point for the addicks. Going into the game, many would have expected Charlton to have bagged the points after the international break had given the south London side time to allow their injury ridden squad to recuperate.  Rotherham have lost all but one of their opening 5 games going into the campaign and judging by their managers, Steve Evans, body language they were desperate for their first win.  With the match underway it was immediate action in the Rotherham half with Igor Vetokele finding star man Gudmundsonn who's shot from outside the box was saved by Rotherham keeper Lee camp.  The Home side continued to keep the pressure on the Yorkshire club and it was then Gudmundsonn finding Jordan Cousins near the penalty spot but ...
