VILLA SACK DI MATTEO

ASTON Villa have sacked Roberto Di Matteo after just 12 games in charge.

Villa have won just 1 of their games in the Championship since their relegation from the Premier League last season. Villa sit 19th in the Championship table and the club have felt it imperative that a change needs to be made. From the graphic below you can see that his time in charge was one of difficulties.

From this graphic you can see that he had 12 games in charge of the club since his arrival on the 2nd June, the team won 1 match during his tenure a 3-0 over Rotherham at Villa Park, as you can see there is only 4 defeats however one of them came to Walsall in the EFL Cup.

Steve Bruce is the current odds on favourite to replace Di Matteo in the Villa hot seat, David Wagner and Sam Allardyce are also in the frame.
