LEICESTER SACK RANIERI THE VIEW OF A NETURAL

So for the second consecutive season the title winning manager from the previous season has lost his job.

Last season it was Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, yes that was a surprise but because it was Chelsea no one was surprised too much. Leicester did something incredible last season to win the Premier League was an unbelievable achievement and that is why I am very sad to Ranieri to leave his job.

Niall Quinn has described the decision as Leicester losing their soul and I agree with him for them to do this shows everything that is wrong with football in the modern day.

Leicester have put to an end one of the greatest football stories in the most brutal way. Having watched their performance against Sevilla on Wednesday, yes they could have been battered but they weren't and when Jamie Vardy got the goal the scenes of togetherness were there and it could have been the start of the comeback, sadly now we will never know.

Reports today have suggested that senior players told the clubs board that they were unhappy with Ranieri, this shows that the loyalty to their manager was not there and that is not acceptable.

So who is to blame, its a bit of both, yes the players have not pulled their weight this season. They all got massive pay rises last season and that togetherness that we saw last season where they all played for each other has gone, those players have to take responsibility for their performances once you cross that white line the manager has done all he can do its up to the players to put that plan in action.

Ranieri can be blamed for continually playing the same players, you can understand why he is playing them after all they shocked the world last season unfortunately for him his loyalty to his players was his downfall and as reports show today his loyalty was not reciprocated by his players.

Jamie Carragher said in his piece on Sky Sports that neutral fans who has sympathy with Leicester's struggles this season will now disappear, as a neutral I agree with that, I watched Leicester last Saturday against my team Millwall in the FA Cup and yes it wasn't the team that play week in week out in the Premier League but they played well for an hour of that game.

For this to happen at a club like Leicester is awful, and there will now be a lot of people to will turn against Leicester and hope that they go down for doing what they have done. Ranieri is going to be a huge miss to the Premier League a hugely popular figure with the media and the fans, there are a lot of Leicester fans who are unhappy with this decision.

I believe that the man who achieved something incredible earned the right to see out the season. Leicester are a team who every year will be in a relegation battle last season was a fluke, an incredible one but a one off the club should learn that. This is one of the saddest decisions that will be made in football. Its bad for the Premier League and it's bad for managers overall.

EVERTON SACK SAM ALLARDYCE

EVERTON have sacked Sam Allardyce, with Marco Silva set to replace him at Goodison Park.  Allardyce leaves Goodison after just 7 months in charge. Everton finished the season in 8th position in the Premier League table with 49 points, 12 fewer than they achieved last season. Allardyce met with the club's majority shareholder Farhead Moshiri this morning (Wednesday) where he was told that his services were no longer required. This is believed to be have been a decision that come from an Everton board meeting on Tuesday afternoon. It is believed that Allardyce will receive the vast majority of of the final 12 months of his contract which Sky Sports estimate is around £6m. A statement on the clubs website read: "On behalf of the chairman, board of directors and Mr Moshiri, I'd like to thank Sam for the job he has done at Everton over the last seven months. Sam was brought in at a challenging time last season to provide us with stability and we are grateful to h...

Sacking Chris Hughton - Is it the right decision?

Another season has come to an end. This is the period where you will see managers come and go and players come in and depart clubs. The 2018/19 has now come to and end and Brighton finished in 17th place. I believe that if you had offered that to them most Brighton fans would have accepted a third successive season of Premier League football. Add onto that, The Seagulls also made the semi-finals of the FA Cup. Chris Hughton has paid the price for Brighton's poor form in 2019. This decision however, seems extremely harsh. Here is his overall record in charge of the club. Games: 215 Wins: 88 Draws: 57 Defeats: 70 That works out to a win percentage of around 40% that is not bad for a team that's budget is pennies compared to some in the Premier League. Brighton staying in the top flight is an achievement in its self and something that should not be looked over.  Hughton took over at Brighton back in 2014 when the club was struggling at the bottom of t...

Barclays Premier League Preview: Southampton v Everton

Ronald Koeman will return to the dugout this weekend after missing last week's match at Newcastle after having ankle surgery.  He will be hoping that his Saints side can cut out the errors as they welcome Everton to St Mary's this weekend. Southampton needed a Shane Long header 11 minutes from time to rescue a point against Steve McClaren's men at St James' Park last Sunday and the Southampton boss saw plenty of areas for Improvement. 'I wasn't impressed because I was not happy about the first half. Already in the Vitesse match we had too many mistakes the same in the first half at Newcastle." "All the dangers of Newcastle came from faults. The second half the reaction of the players and the physical state in the last 15 minutes was very good because we had the best chances to win the game" "Starting the season with a draw away against Newcastle isn't a bad result bur normally, if we play our level we win the game. " Sou...
