Weekend Preview

All eyes are looking to Monday"s Unmissable game between the two Manchester Clubs, they meet at the Etihad on Monday night s win for United may just end City's title challenge.  Everton have it form lately and their comeback at Man Utd last week was good, David Moyes says that 'we need to build on it', this week they host Fulham who come of the back of a 2-1 win over Wigan last week. Stoke are set for their worst finish in the Premier league as they have only won 1 of their last 6 games they come into the game with Arsenal after losing 3-0 at Newcastle last time out, Arsenal travel to stoke with not the best of records at Stoke. This could well be the game that says weather we will Bolton next season or not they travel to Sunderland on the back of a 2-1 win at relegation rivals Aston Villa on Tuesday, Sunderland are safe in mid-table but form has dipped recently with no win in the last 6 and no goal in 5. Swansea's first season in the top flight has been one to remember for the fans and staff at the club they have scored 43 goals this season and Brendon Rodgers has started planning for next season Swansea come into this after a 1-1 draw at Bolton last Week, Wolves's were relegated last weekend after they lost at home to City they have started planning for life in the championship next season. Aston Villa are not yet safe from the drop and defeat to Bolton in mid week leaves Villa just 3 points above the dotted line they come into this game with just 1 win in their last 12 league games, West Brom on the other hand are enjoying their best season ever in the top flight they have won their last 2 games. Newcastle's season has been a great one for everyone with the club 4th in the table and 3 points above Spurs they a chance to draw level with 3rd Placed Arsenal on Saturday if they win at Wigan, but they have had a good run in form lately and unbeaten in their last 3 at home including that 1-0 win against Man Utd, Norwich have had a season to remember safety for next year assured but dips in form lately have worried fans but Manager Paul Lambert is hopeful they will end the season strongly, goals have been a hard thing to come by for Liverpool this season they have only won 4 of their 12 league games in 2012. Sunday is a big day at the top and Bottom of the table, QPR come into the game with Chelsea of the back of a 1-0 win against Spurs last week, Chelsea booked their place in Munich in mid week after a 2-2 draw with Barcelona witch took them through 3-2 overall and with the `FA Cup final still to come there is a lot happiness around Chelsea the return fixture was a 1-0 win to QPR. At one stage Spurs were 12 points clear of Arsenal in 3rd now they find themselves 3 points behind Newcastle in 5th, with just 1 win in 9 games it has been a hard run for Harry and his boys. Blackburn come into this after a 2-0 win over Norwich last weekend after this game they face Wigan in what is a 6 pointer

FT REPORT: CRYSTAL PALACE 0-1 TOTTENHAM

HARRY KANE broke Crystal Palace hearts as he headed home an 88th minute winner at Selhurst Park.  It was Kane's 35th goal of the season and his 150th career club goal, the goal equalled his record of goals for last season as he once again looks on course for another stunning season in front of goal. His header broke the hearts of Palace who were denied a precious point in the battle against relegation. One man who will be thanking Kane for scoring will be Spurs right back Serge Aurier who had missed an open goal a few minutes prior to Kane's goal. The result saw Spurs go above Chelsea into the top four on goal difference before the Blues's trip to Manchester United. The defeat for Palace see's them remain 17th in the table outside the drop zone on goal difference. They also play Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool in three of their next four fixtures. It was a tight and tense affair in the first half and Spurs were unlucky to be denied two penalties....

WELCOME TO 2017/18

Hello! Welcome back to AG's Football Reports after the summer break! I hope you all have had a wonderful holiday and are ready for the most exciting season yet. The Premier League still has a week to go before it returns but this week see's the return of the Sky Bet Football League. It is promising to be one of the greatest ever seasons in England's second tier with no less than 20 of the 24 clubs having played in the Premier League. Just as in previous seasons AG's Football Reports will be here covering all action across the season, starting on Friday night when the whole campaign kicks off with Derby travelling to relegated Sunderland and Championship new boys Millwall making the trip to the East Midlands to face Nottingham Forest. The Premier League kicks off a week later and it once again looks to be one of the most unpredictable leagues ever once again. Huge money has been spent in the league with just over £1bn being spent so far. So as we look forward to...

EVERTON SACK SAM ALLARDYCE

EVERTON have sacked Sam Allardyce, with Marco Silva set to replace him at Goodison Park.  Allardyce leaves Goodison after just 7 months in charge. Everton finished the season in 8th position in the Premier League table with 49 points, 12 fewer than they achieved last season. Allardyce met with the club's majority shareholder Farhead Moshiri this morning (Wednesday) where he was told that his services were no longer required. This is believed to be have been a decision that come from an Everton board meeting on Tuesday afternoon. It is believed that Allardyce will receive the vast majority of of the final 12 months of his contract which Sky Sports estimate is around £6m. A statement on the clubs website read: "On behalf of the chairman, board of directors and Mr Moshiri, I'd like to thank Sam for the job he has done at Everton over the last seven months. Sam was brought in at a challenging time last season to provide us with stability and we are grateful to h...
