Alex's Predictions

I'm back with my latest round of Predictions for this weekend's Premier League games. Plus I'm putting a new segment in, it is called the Saturday 6 pick read on to find out more. West Brom v Arsenal - Saturday 12.30 This is going to be a tricky game for Arsenal, if this does not go well for them and the results this weekend go against them they are going to find it hard to get into that top 4. The records are good only 1 defeat in their last 12 PL games against West Brom but that was this fixture last season. I definitely think this has the potential to be a tough game for the visitors as West Brom are good at home. My Prediction: 2-1 (5/1 with Sky Bet) Crystal Palace v Watford Palace are beginning to turn the corner after back to back wins and things seem to click under Big Sam.They have won 3 of their last 5 games and most importantly have kept back to back clean sheets which is important. Watford are a side I find hard to judge they can be so good some...

LEICESTER SACK RANIERI THE VIEW OF A NETURAL

So for the second consecutive season the title winning manager from the previous season has lost his job. Last season it was Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, yes that was a surprise but because it was Chelsea no one was surprised too much. Leicester did something incredible last season to win the Premier League was an unbelievable achievement and that is why I am very sad to Ranieri to leave his job. Niall Quinn has described the decision as Leicester losing their soul and I agree with him for them to do this shows everything that is wrong with football in the modern day. Leicester have put to an end one of the greatest football stories in the most brutal way. Having watched their performance against Sevilla on Wednesday, yes they could have been battered but they weren't and when Jamie Vardy got the goal the scenes of togetherness were there and it could have been the start of the comeback, sadly now we will never know. Reports today have suggested that senior player...

Tuesday Night Round Up

After a a busy Transfer Deadline day, there was seven matches in the Premier League as well last night, clubs were doing deals during these games to make sure they have got what it takes to reach their goals for the rest of the season. Here is a round up of last nights action. Arsenal 1-2 Watford  Troy Deeney celebrates scoring Watford's 2nd This surely was the week that Arsenal had to crank up the pressure on their London rivals by beating Watford and then winning at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, safe to say its got off to a bad start. The Gunners were 2-0 down inside 13 minutes at the Emirates Stadium in truth had it not been for Petr Cech the game could well have been over before Half-Time. Cech made come wonderful saves to deny Watford a 3 goal lead at the break. Arsenal recovered in the second half and Alex Iwobi  reduced the deficit to 1 after 58 minutes but they couldn't find an equaliser, Arsenal drop to 3rd while Watford mov...

Report: Southampton 3-0 Leicester

SOUTHAMPTON piled further misery onto Champions Leicester at St Mary's on Sunday lunchtime. The result means Leicester remain without a win away from home in the league this season. The Saints who had lost their last four league games outclassed their opponents from the first whistle to the last. They took the lead through James Ward-Prowse his first goal in 22 games, and it was his free-kick that led to the hosts second from Jay Rodriguez before Dusan Tadic tucked home a late penalty to make it 3-0. This result means Leicester are without an away win in 11 league games, having won the same amount on their travels en route to the title last season. They have now conceded 37 goals in their 22 games which is 1 more than the whole of last season. The result leaves the Champions 5 points and 5 places above the bottom three, while the Saints move up to 11th. In this fixture last season the hosts took a 2-0 lead into half-time before a Jamie Vardy double saw Leicester come...
