MANCHESTER UNITED won their first major trophy since Sir Alex Fegurson's retirement. Jesse Lingard scored an extra-time winner in what looks set to be Louis Van Gaal's final game in charge of the club. In a repeat of the 1990 final it was Crystal Palace who took the lead 12 minutes from time through substitute Jason Puncheon before Juan Mata levelled three minutes later to force extra-time at Wembley for the second time in three finals.
